What we are bringing to market…June 2nd

June 1, 2012 By Blue Skys Farm

What a beautiful day!  Here’s a photo of one of our fields taken just before I left the farm today.  It’s pretty dry out there and I’m sure that the plants would love a bit of rain.  I just hope that it waits until the end of the market!  Here is what we will be bringing to market this week.

Vegetables:
Asian Greens Mix (Tatsoi, Hon Tsai Tai & Red Rain)
Bright Lights Swiss Chard
Red Russian & Rainbow Lacinto Kale
Kim’s Custom Salad Mix
Sugar Snap Peas

Fresh Cut Flowers:  Delphinium, Peonies, Salvia & Sunflowers

Potted Plants:  Red Russian Kale, Rainbow Lacinato Kale, Eggplant, Red Brandywine Tomatoes, Green Zebra Tomatoes, Jalapeno Peppers, Strawberry, Morning Glories (Sunrise Serenade, Scarlet & Heavenly Blue), Campanula, Banana Tree, Heuchera, Dusty Miller, Nasturtium, Lavender (Perenial, Spanish Eyes and Red Kew), Thyme, Lemon Balm, Rosemary, Sage, Oregano, French Tarragon and more!

Looks like one more week for the garlic scapes.  They have just started to curl a bit.  Best harvest is when there are one or two loops.  With this weather and some rain in the forecast, the scapes should be ready to go!

See you at the market!
