Farmer’s Market – November 1st

October 31, 2014 By Blue Skys Farm

Looks like we are in for a windy and wet market tomorrow.  Have no fear though, we shall be at the market and we hope that you will be there as well.  We have some great produce for you, including a head lettuce that is both beautiful and delicious.  The variety is Skyphos and it is a red butterhead lettuce with contrasting green centers.

In addition we will be bringing the following items to market:

Golden Beets
Chiogghia Beets
Arugula
Bordeaux Spinach
Carrots
White Russian Kale
Watermelon Radishes*
Red Onions
Mini Pumpkins
Scratch Farm
Lettuce Mix
Leeks
Sweet Potatoes
Celeriac
Big Train Farm
Potatoes (5lb bags)
*Watermelon radishes are an heirloom variety of daikon radishes and they originated in China.  They are visually stunning and quite tasty as well.
We hope to see you at the market!  I’ll be the one with the very stylish (not) rain suit on.  I will be joined by my wonderful husband Ed, as Christina will be at the first day of the indoor market at the Hope Artist building in Pawtucket.
