As you probably already know, we at Blue Skys Farm, grow all of the flowers that we sell, pesticide- and chemical-free on two acres of land in Cranston, Rhode Island.  We are appreciative of our flower customers and their decision to buy local.  Here are some photos of some of these beautiful flowers while they are still in the field.

Lisianthus is a slow growing flower that must be grown in a hoop house and with supports. to keep its blooms protected. This beauty requires more work than most, but the end result is worth it.

Foxglove, are also grown in one of our hoop houses.

Coneflower, also known as Ecaninacea, is a hardy field perenial.

The “other worldly” looking Globe Thistle.

Scabiosa in the field.

Yet another amazingly beautiful variety of Sunflower.

Come on by the market this Saturday and see these beautiful flowers for yourself.   You can purchase a pre-made bouquet or you can make your own!

Flowers just seem to make people happy.  There is even a Harvard University study to prove it!

Hope to see you at the market,

Farmer Kim
