Mother Nature was up to it again this week.  We feel very fortunate that we made it through that nasty storm on Tuesday morning with minimal damage.  We hope that you too were so lucky.

The later end of the week looks to be very pleasant temperature-wise and it is a nice relief from last week’s heat.  Keeping fingers crossed for a beautiful day at the market on Saturday.

Caraflex Cabbage
Blue Potatoes
Skyphos Butterhead Letuce
Lettuce Mix
Jaune du Doubs Carrots
Sweet Peppers

The irrigation gun watering the lower field.  This piece of equipment is amazing!

A beautiful variety of Dahlia growing in the lower field.  These plants need supports to keep them from bending over from their own weight and height.

It is definitely worth the extra effort!

Calendula drying in the Blue Skys Drying Room.

This flower has long been utilized for the soothing and healing of skin irritations but there are other uses as well.  Take a look at the website The Nerdy Farm Wife as she lists 14 uses for calendula tea.

Jalapeno Recipes:

Green Enchilada Sauce (utilizes tomatillos as well as jalapeno and serrano peppers)
Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese
Jalapeno Honey Hummus

See you at the market!
