Farm News!

The first of the dried herbs of 2016 was processed today.  Essentially what that means is that the herb, in this case Stinging Nettle, was fully dried and was ready to be broken down into the small flakes that are used in our teas.  Once an herb is processed it is ready to be packaged and brought to the market!

Next up to be processed is Spearmint, Mugwort and Lemon Balm.

Freshly hand-weeded Statice in the Blue Skys Hoop House.  These plants have been in the ground for almost a month and are doing very well.  The netting is there to support the plant in the upcoming months when they can will grow to about 24″ tall.

A photo of  one of the many Peonies blooming in the field right now.  This photograph was taken on Wednesday afternoon when we were expecting some thunderstorms.  Believe it or not, the farm did not receive any rain that afternoon or evening.

The long awaited Parsley plants are ready for market!
