Farm News

It has been a beautiful week at the farm.  Mornings are cool but afternoons are amazing.  I love this time of year!

It is that time in the season where final harvests are to be made of herbs such as Lemon Verbena.  Below is a photo of the harvest ready to be hung in the drying room.  Looks like we will have plenty of teas containing this tasty and aromatic herb.

We will adding an additional Hoop House (as known as High Tunnels) thanks to funding by the USDA.  While we are waiting for the parts to arrive, Christina has started to prep the area where it will be located.  Got to love a woman on a tractor!  You go Christina!

Here is where the new Hoop House will be located.  See what a nice job Christina did on the tractor.

The spinach that we direct seeded outside is doing well and should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Be sure to check out the flowers at the market this week.  We have a wonderful selection, including some amazing Dahlias.
