Chickens in Cranston…we need your support!

October 9, 2012 By Blue Skys Farm

Our backyard chicken ordinance was introduced to the City Council at their September meeting and we will be presenting to the City Council’s Ordinance Committee this Thursday, October 11th.  If we get a yes vote from the Ordinance Committee, we will be up for a final vote at the full City Council meeting on October 22nd.  Now is the time that we need your assistance!

Please show your support for responsible chicken keeping in Cranston!

How, you ask?

1)  Call your Ward Councilperson as well as all of the City-Wide members. Ask them to support the upcoming Chicken Ordinance.

The City-Wide members are often overlooked.  When they get phone calls, it gets attention.

2)  Attend the ordinance meeting on Thursday, October 11 at 6pm (City Hall, Council Chambers).
Please note that it is not necessary to be a Cranston resident to show your support at this meeting.

**I’ll be one of the speakers at this meeting and will need all of the support I can get!
