Market – June 15th

June 14, 2013 By Blue Skys Farm

As promised, the Garlic Scapes have arrived!  Here they are packed up and ready for all of you at the farmers market tomorrow.  This is the last opportunity to purchase our scapes so don’t miss out!  Keep in mind that they freeze well (raw or blanched) so pick up some extra to enjoy throughout the summer.
Garlic Scapes
In addition to garlic scapes, we will have the following produce for this week’s market.
Sugar Snap Peas
Rainbow Lacinato Kale
Bright Lights Swiss Chard
Spinach
Kim’s Custom Salad Mix
We will also be bringing vegetable, herb and flower starts.  This week we are featuring the unique Moon Flower, a white climbing flower that opens at night.  For more information, please click here.
The flower season is starting to pick up now that the warmer weather has appeared.  Pink peonies are the star of this week’s market.  Like the Garlic Scapes, Peonies are only available for a short time of the year.  Don’t miss out!

This week we will also have some pre-made bouquets for your convenience.  Blue Skys Farmer Alex  put together these bouquets this afternoon.
Hi Mom!
Hope to see you at the market!
