Market – July 6th

July 5, 2013 By Blue Skys Farm

Hi Mom!

Yes, this was the temperature in the hoop house earlier this afternoon.  These are the difficult days to harvest but we put our heads down and got it all done.  We can’t let down our customers at the greatest farmer’s market in the area!

This week we are featuring the first harvest of Zucchini!  They are tender, sweet and have very little seeds.  I added a couple of zucchini into a frittata I made for breakfast yesterday (with eggs from Pak Express ) and they were amazing.  So happy that local summer squashes have made their appearance.  So much better than what you get in the grocery store.

In addition to zucchini, we will be bringing the following produce to market:

Little Leaf Cucumbers
URI Bite-Size Tomato Variety Pack
Kim’s Custom Salad Mix
Bright Lights Salad Mix
Rainbow Lacinato Kale
Shelling Peas
Here are some photos from the farm today.

108.5F Hoop House Cukes & Tomatoes
Single Stemed Cucumbers
Roma Tomatoes

Hoop House Lisiantus

See you at the market!
