Shunkyo Radishes waiting to be bunched. |
This week we are featuring the Shunkyo Semi-Long Radish. It is a specialty radish that originated in North China. They are an cylindrical radish with deep pink roots with white, crisp flesh. The taste is both hot and unusually sweet. The greens are also edible so don’t toss them in compost pile! Food & Wine Magazine has a wonderful (and easy) recipe for Roasted Radishes with Radish Greens you may want to try.
In addition, we will be bringing the following items to market:
Shallots
Cherry, Slicer and Roma Tomatoes
