Well, it’s the second to the last week at the outdoor Pawtuxet Village Farmers’ Market…thank you to all the fine and dedicated customers who have shopped at Blue Skys since May…it’s been a great season! Don’t forget, we will be starting the Wintertime Market on December 2nd, Thursday evenings from 4:30 to 7 at the Edgewood Congregation Church.
This week we are bringing:
Arugula
Spinach
Fall Frilly Mix of Green & Red Mizuna
Mustard Mix
Kale
Broccoli Greens
Sorry, no Lettuce Mix this week. With the shorter days, the new crop is growing very slowly (see below).
In addition, we will have carrots, pak choy and scallions from Pak Express and turnip, watermelon radish, napa cabbage and leeks from Scratch Farm. These farms have extra produce so it’s my pleasure to bring their chemical free produce to the market.
For the cold winter nights, we have delicious Tulsi Tea (Holy Basil). We harvested at least 15 pounds of this wonderful herb. It’s an adaptogen which helps reduce stress and normalize the body.

But if you ask me, the coolest thing about tulsi is that it’s an adaptogen.
