Farmer’s Market – July 12th

July 11, 2014 By Blue Skys Farm

This week we are bringing a very interesting variety of cauliflower.  It’s name is Graffiti Cauliflower and it is deep purple in color.  Here is a photo to give you a preview:

Hint:  To keep the color as intense as possible, add a bit of an acid (lemon juice or vinegar) to the water prior to cooking.

In addition to Graffiti Cauliflower, we will be bringing the following items to market tomorrow:

Purple Kohlrobi
Golden Beets
Red Beets (topless)
Summer Copra Onions
Purple Scallions
Christina’s Custom Lettuce Mix
Bright Lights Swiss Chard
Tuscano Kale
White Russian Kale
Sun Gold Cherry Tomatoes
Suyo Cucumberss
Slicing Cucumbers
Pickling Cucumbers
Gold of Bacau Pole Beans

We will also have Mushroom Farmer Tom’s Oyster Mushrooms once again!!!  Only 5 bags this week so be sure to get to the market early to get yours!

This Saturday our favorite flower grower is going to be setting up flowers for a wedding in South County.  I, Farmer Kim, and my wonderful husband, Eddie will be there to assist you with your purchases in her absence.  Don’t worry though, even though Christina will not be at the market, her amazing flowers will be.  Here is a preview:

Hope to see you at the market!
