Bouquets
When you come to the market there are two ways to purchase flowers. You can make your own bouquet from the loose stems, or if you prefer, you can purchase one of bouquets that we make at the farm on Friday afternoons. It is the last task of the harvest day and it is one of the most enjoyable for me. It is hard to go wrong with beautiful flowers carefully grown and harvested right here at Blue Skys Farm.
Here are some bouquets made this week for CSA Flower Shares earlier this week. Blue Skys Farm proudly provides CSA Flower Shares for both our own CSA as well as the Big Train Farm CSA.

Swiss Chard
Kale is the vegetable that you think of when you here the word ‘Super Food’, but did you that Swiss Chard is also one of the most nutritious vegetables in the world? It is an excellent source of Vitamins K, A and C as well as a good source of Magnesium, Potasium, Iron and Dietary Fiber. The stalks of Swiss Chard can be red, white, green or yellow. This season we are growing both White Chard as well as Bright Lights Chard. Here is a photo from our harvest:
