Where we’ll be:
Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market Thundermist West Warwick Farmers Market |
We will be bringing the following items to the market this week:
Red Onions
Cippolini Onions
Purple Potatoes
Irish Cobbler Potatoes
Lacinato Kale
Bright Lights Swiss Chard
Lettuce Mix
Daikon Radish
Baby Pumpkins
from Scratch Farm:
Carrots
Garlic
We will have a limited amount of flowers as we have experienced our first frost this past weekend. As you can see, some flowers do better than others once a frost has occurred.
Zinnia plants post-frost… sad.
Calendula plants post-frost. Not a bit of damage. Beautiful AND hardy.

Photos from the farm:
Our second hoop-house has been completely turned over to fall and winter crops. Hard to believe that this same hoop-house was filled to the brim with tomatoes, tomatillos, pole beans, peppers and cucumber just a few weeks ago.
Newly planted greens and radishes. Closeup photos below.
Arugula
Spinach
Bright Lights Swiss Chard
Red Spinach
Green Head Lettuce
So, although the frost has brought down some plants, others are newly planted and growing. The addition of the two hoop-houses to the farm has helped to extend the seasons, both spring and fall, in a way that would not be possible otherwise.
As for upcoming markets, we will be at Pawtuxet Village Farmer’s Market for 2 more markets (October 24th and 31st). After that we will be at the Farm Fresh RI indoor market at the Hope Artist Building the Pawtucket beginning on Saturday, November 7th.

Hope to see you at the market!
