Baby Swiss Chard
Dandelion Greens (cultivated, not wild)
Lemon Balm & Lemon Verbena Herbal Tea
Potted Herbs and Potted Tomatoes
Morning Glory
Moon Flower
We also carry local seeds!   Small State Seeds

*Can you believe that Memorial Day weekend is this weekend?  Well it is, and the weather is warming up nicely to usher in the unofficial beginning of summer!  To celebrate, Blue Skys Farm is having a sale on our Salad Mix.  Buy 2 bags of salad mix and save $1 (in other words, 2 bags for $9) or buy 3 bags and save $2 (3 bags for $13).  Can’t beat that!   The mix will be picked, washed and packed on Friday morning.  To get fresher greens you would have to grow them yourself!

Farm News!

This is the time of year that we need to harvest the spring/winter grown crops in the hoop houses to make room for the summer crops.  This week it was time for the carrots to come out so that that row could be used to plant flowers.  This is good news for carrot lovers as we harvested almost a hundred pounds of carrots from that one row!  This means that we will have carrots at the market for at least the next couple of weeks.

Carrots
Freshly picked and washed carrots!

This week, Christina was working on the tractor to prepare our two “upper fields” for planting.  This is one of the large rocks that were unearthed by her efforts.

BIG rock.

Christina has become a pro at removing rocks of this size with the tractor.  Good thing too as we seem to grow rocks really well at the Blue Skys Farm!  Where do they all come from?

Rock Picking
Jared and Jamaal assist in rock picking. We’ll need the tractor for this one!

Be sure to spread the news regarding the Blue Skys Farm CSA starting in June.  Information listed below.
