In addition we will be bringing Strawberries from Scratch Farm. These beauties are sure to sell out so be sure to get to the market early to purchase a pint or two. They are delicious!
As for flowers we will have beautiful Peonies and Gypsophilia. Don’t miss out on the Peonies as this is the last time we will have them this year. We will also have Sunflowers for the first time this Saturday!!!
Farm News!
This seems (knock on wood) to be a great year for potatoes! We planted over 200 pounds of seed potato and the plants are growing like crazy! Here are 4 rows of potato plants that we have growing behind the hoop houses. There are also 2 longer rows planted in the upper field.
As you can see from the photo, the weeds are also growing like crazy. We weed within the rows with hoes as well as hand-weeding. As for the weeds growing between the rows? A lawn mower is used to keep the walk ways under control.
Sunflowers!
This sunflower caught my eye today and I had to share it!
Hope to see you at the market!
