Come and visit us this Saturday:
Pawtuxet Village Farmer’s Market
Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI
Here’s what we’ll have for you this week:
Salad Mix is back!
Gold of Bacau Pole Beans (first of the year!)
Skyphos Head Lettuce
Bright Lights Swiss Chard
Thursday is an irrigation day at Blue Skys Farm. We were pleasantly surprised by the addition of some afternoon rain to assist in giving our plants some much needed hydration.
The row that was occupied by Sugar Snap Peas on Wednesday is occupied by Golden and Red Beets on Thursday. Thanks goes out to our work shares, Earl and Tatiana, for doing such a good job removing the pea pod plants (and the accompanying weeds) from this row so that the beets could go in today. If you look closely you can some of the pea plants at the bottom of the photo.
A beautiful Blue Skys Farm sunflower!
Bees flying about on our sunflowers. Bees, and other pollinators, are so important to everything we grow at Blue Skys Farm.
Hope to see you at the market!
