Farm News

The bitter cold has arrived at the farm.  The high tunnel produce is now double covered with agricultural fabric in an attempt to keep them frost free.  The produce is washed in water that is ice cold (literally) and even with gloves on, our fingers feel the sting.  This time of year it is a strange sensation to enter the walk-in cooler and feel warmer than the outside temperature.  We are keeping our (very cold) fingers crossed that these single digit overnight temps do not continue throughout the winter.  We shall see!
