Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market – January 13

January 12, 2018 By Blue Skys Farm

(A reminder that we’ve changed the format of these posts for the winter. Instead of weekly posts, we’ll do them monthly. In between posts, we’ll update social media—Facebook, Instagram, Twitter—with pics and news.)

Come and visit us on Saturday:

Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market
Hope Artiste Village
1005 Main St, Pawtucket, RI
Saturdays, 9am–1pm

We will be bringing the following items to the market:

Head Lettuce
Spinach
Potatoes
Carrots
Beets
Onions

And, as always, Eggs from Pak Express Farm.

Farm News & Photos

What a winter we’ve had! Last month’s cold snap put a halt to farming, and just the lettuce and spinach survived the greenhouse—what hearty crops!

Looking ahead, we’re starting to place seed orders, to prepare for the spring. Never too early to prepare and pine for spring…

Lettuce lives even after below zero temps! Thanks to high tunnels!Mixed lettuceIMG_1048

For our Sanctuary Herbs of Providence project, we’re setting up the space at 560 Mineral Spring Ave in Pawtucket. (See our last post for more information.) The space is pretty bare right now—submitting to you these “before” photos, so you can watch the transition with us!
